After three games on the road, Pacelli is heading back home. They will take on the Rosholt Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pacelli's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Pacelli has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by Tri-County on the road to the tune of 87-25.
Pacelli's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaydon Awe led the charge by scoring 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Awe has scored at least 25% of Pacelli's points. Another player making a difference was Camden Schurk, who scored 17 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rosholt's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 75-27 loss at the hands of Almond-Bancroft.
Pacelli's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.67 points. As for Rosholt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Pacelli against Rosholt in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 69-25 victory. Will Pacelli repeat their success, or does Rosholt have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
