Colton is 0-3 against the Titans since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Colton Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Notre Dame Titans at 4:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though San Gorgonio scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, Colton still came out on top. Colton secured a 67-61 W over the Spartans. The win was just what Colton needed coming off of a 76-54 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Arroyo Valley at home to the tune of 70-24. Winning may never get old, but Notre Dame sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Mark Cadena, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 21 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Yirmeyah Michel, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Colton's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Notre Dame, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Colton couldn't quite finish off the Titans in their previous meeting last Tuesday and fell 72-69. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Notre Dame's Caiden Broughton, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that Colton knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
