The Richton Rebels will take on the North Forrest Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Richton has four straight wins, the Eagles have three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Thursday, Richton was able to grind out a solid victory over the Tigers, taking the game 44-32.
Richton found their leader in underclassman Nylah Robins, who scored 22 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Robins has scored at least a third of Richton's points. Dherria Barlow was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, North Forrest came up short against the Tigers on Tuesday and fell 47-38.
Richton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season. As for North Forrest, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
Richton beat the Eagles 33-22 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will Richton repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
