Landrum took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Broome, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Centurions on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on four straight.

Landrum's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Broome, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landrum will take on Chesnee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Broome, they will challenge Chapman at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
