The Nandua Warriors and the Crisfield Crabbers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.
Nandua had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Poquoson by a score of 59-48.
Meanwhile, Crisfield entered their tilt with Wicomico with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Crisfield narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Wicomico 62-59. That's two games straight that Crisfield has won by exactly three points.
Nandua now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Crisfield, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Nandua against Crisfield when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 78-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nandua since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
