First Baptist extended the longest winning streak in Lowcountry-Piedmont (8 Man) this week by beating Abundant Life Academy, 40-6. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
First Baptist took down Abundant Life Academy 40-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trevor McNeil ran for 119 yards in the win.
Coastal HomeSchool's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gunnar Gibson threw for 220 and five touchdowns and Scheldon Paulk had 110 yards receiving. On the ground Jordan Brown chipped in 133 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Gibson of the Hurricanes is the league leader in passing yards this season with 879. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, Will McCombs' team's Alex Frazier has rushed for 1299 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Bradford Allen. The First Baptist star has 15 catches for 403 yards.
The Hurricanes made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 855 from 1,020. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 40-6 victory over Brock Vaigneur's team last week.
