Dunham came out on top against GEO Next Generation by a score of 44-36. Given Dunham's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while GEO Next Generation is ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why GEO Next Generation lost, one person who can't be blamed is Quinniece Darby. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points. That was a full 58.3% of GEO Next Generation's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kimberly Jack was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven blocks.
Dunham is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season. As for GEO Next Generation, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 21-12.
