Kaden Kott Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Manistee's Kaden Kott, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Kott rushed for 189 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Manistee has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Kott and Manistee will host Shelby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cameron Gunsell Dazzles in Ludington Victory
Ludington picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cameron Gunsell. Gunsell turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 201 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 152 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.
This year, Gunsell has thrown 16 touchdowns while averaging 175.3 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 7.5 passing yards per game.

Trevor Haag Makes It Two for Manistee
Another Manistee player making an appearance on this list is Trevor Haag. He rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown.
