The McCool Junction Mustangs entered their tilt with the Sutton Mustangs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. McCool Junction walked away with a 58-47 victory over Sutton on Friday.
It was another big night for McKenna Yates, who scored 19 points along with 7 steals and 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of McCool Junction's points. Shelby Bandt was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
McCool Junction's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sutton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCool Junction will be home for the holidays to greet Shelby-Rising City on Friday. Sutton will take on Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at TBD on Tuesday.
