Pierson can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Southampton Mariners. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Whalers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Pierson's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Iulo, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, Iulo posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Pierson's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Southampton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Pierson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Southampton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
