Naselle lost to Pe Ell/Willapa Valley back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Comets had just enough and edged out Pe Ell/Willapa Valley 7-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Comets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Naselle's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Pe Ell/Willapa Valley, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Naselle will square off against Ocosta at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pe Ell/Willapa Valley, they will challenge Adna at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Pe Ell/Willapa Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
