West Linn and Lakeridge are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Pacers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Linn is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
On Wednesday, West Linn beat Tualatin 9-4.
Meg Allen was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emery Curtis, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lakeridge came up short against Lake Oswego on Wednesday and fell 9-5.
MADELINE MOEHL made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. REGAN LEE was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Lakeridge dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for West Linn, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
Lakeridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Linn has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. It's a different story for Lakeridge, though, as they've only averaged .358. Will they be able to contain West Linn's hitters?
Everything went West Linn's way against Lakeridge in their previous meeting last Monday, as West Linn made off with a 14-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
