Basketball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Pinnacle Classical Academy lost against Christian Family Academy back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Family Academy Fire. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loss or not, Pinnacle Classical Academy got some senior leadership from Cody Humphries and Evan Bridges. Humphries dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Bridges went 5 for 8 en route to 13 points and six boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bridges has scored all season.

Even though they lost, Pinnacle Classical Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Charles Murray was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds for Christian Family Academy. That makes it six consecutive games in which Murray has scored at least a third of Christian Family Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Marley, who posted seven points.

Pinnacle Classical Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Christian Family Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Pinnacle Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-26 win against The Master's Academy on the 24th. As for Christian Family Academy, they will square off against Lake Lure Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Lure Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.
