Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Tara's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Tara barely beat Donaldsonville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tara Trojans never let the Donaldsonville Tigers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Trojans have won six games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aaron Brown was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Malik Hawkins was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Tara has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12 runs. This is the second loss in a row for Donaldsonville and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1.

Tara will have a chance to go back-to-back against Donaldsonville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
