Montbello didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jordan Martin. He has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Nocita rushed for 130 yards and one TD on only 11 carries while Tiggett rushed for 136 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Nocita also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Colton Camba, who rushed for 42 yards and a pair of scores.
Vista Ridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Looking ahead, Montbello will face off against Evergreen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vista Ridge, they will take on Evanston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
