Sports Leadership & Management waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Valley Vikings a 15-0 shutout. Mya Schweisthal was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Sonny Johnson and Aaliyah Ulgaran did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson scored two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances, while Ulgaran scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
