North Thurston is 2-7 against River Ridge since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rams will host the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
North Thurston will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Silas on Monday. North Thurston blew past Silas 28-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for North Thurston's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Syriahs Trolson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three runs and four RBI.
In other batting news, Saidee Trolson was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. She also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Paige Guyer, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.
North Thurston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silas only posted an OBP of .440.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for River Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Bellarmine Prep on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-8 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.
Like North Thurston, River Ridge also got a great game from a two-way player: Jaylah Sok Vandergriff. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. That's the most strikeouts Sok Vandergriff has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
River Ridge's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for North Thurston, the victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-5.
North Thurston suffered a grim 21-2 defeat to River Ridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
