In what's become a running theme this season, Veritas Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Lacordaire Academy on the road to the tune of 61-14. Winning may never get old, but Veritas Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Veritas Christian Academy to victory were Madelyn Seifert and Amya Cuddon. Seifert almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, while Cuddon scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Seifert has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Jeltema, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Veritas Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. As for Lacordaire Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veritas Christian Academy is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Wallkill Valley at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. Veritas Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so Wallkill Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lacordaire Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Warren County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
