Aundrea Garcia and Haley Cox certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Garcia had seven digs and two aces, while Cox had 13 digs, four aces, and two blocks. Cox has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Gwen Nelson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.
Olathe's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Moffat County, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.
Coming up, Olathe will square off against Ridgway at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Moffat County and Grand Valley will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
