Furlow Charter School has not had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Furlow Charter School lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaheim Walton, who scored 12 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walton has scored all season. Kamari Deriso was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 16 rebounds and five blocks.
Furlow Charter School dropped their record down to 0-18 with that defeat, which was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for CHESS Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.
Furlow Charter School will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the at 7:30 p.m. Webster County has now lost 15 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27. CHESS Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
