The Central Rebels stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Kingston with a sharp 74-50 victory. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Kingston is ranked 188th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jobe Bryant, who scored 24 points along with six assists and three steals. Bryant is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Berry, who scored 21 points.
The victory made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 18-3. As for Kingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-68 loss vs. Potosi on the 10th. Kingston will be playing in front of their home fans against Steelville at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Steelville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Kingston surely won't give up without a fight.
