There's no place like home for Cedar Bluff, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Gaston Bulldogs 9-2 on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Hunter Stallings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run.
In other pitching news, Hunter Mobbs looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Kuper Bradley was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Bryson Teague was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
