The Brandon Valley Lynx will square off against the Harrisburg Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Friday, Brandon Valley got the win against Brookings by a conclusive 15-9. Considering the Lynx have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Danielle Schoby was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexa Harms, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Schoby wasn't the only one making solid contact: Brandon Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Harrisburg had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rough Riders with a sharp 16-1 victory. That looming 16-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.
Harrisburg also got a great performance from Kylie Visker as she pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Visker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kennedy Kokenge was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jayci Olson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Harrisburg pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Brandon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Harrisburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brandon Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Harrisburg, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Brandon Valley's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Brandon Valley suffered a grim 18-5 defeat to Harrisburg when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Lynx avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
