Volleyball Recap: Clear Brook Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Clear Brook hadn't done well against Clear Falls recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wolverines walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Clear Brook walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 21-25, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Clear Falls saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cabrina Vanderford had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Vanderford.

Clear Brook moved to 15-17 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak. As for Clear Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-18.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clear Brook is set to take on their familiar foe Clear Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clear Falls will square off against rival Dickinson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
