Jac-Cen-Del is 0-9 against the Pirates since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Greensburg Pirates at 1:30 p.m. Jac-Cen-Del will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Pirates are ranked 93rd).
Last Saturday, Jac-Cen-Del came up short against the Cougars and fell 55-43.
Meanwhile, Greensburg had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 38-26 victory over Rushville.
It was another big night for Drew Busick, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jack Mckinsey, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Jac-Cen-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Greensburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Jac-Cen-Del lost to the Pirates on the road by a decisive 54-40 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2023.
