Academy for Urban Scholars pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 79-63 fall against East Palestine. Academy for Urban Scholars has struggled against East Palestine recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Hubbard had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over Lakeview on Tuesday. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 14 to 3 on the offensive boards, as Hubbard did.
Hubbard got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braydon Songer out in front who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Songer is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rybicki, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Academy for Urban Scholars dropped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hubbard, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
