The Ouachita Christian Eagles lost against the Lincoln Prep Panthers last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Ouachita Christian had to suffer through a rough 61-26 loss at the hands of Lincoln Prep. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ouachita Christian has scored all season.
Lincoln Prep was led to victory by Joseph Spann and Stephen Burks. Spann scored 21 points, while Burks dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Burks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarjae Young, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Ouachita Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season. As for Lincoln Prep, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ouachita Christian will face off against Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Union Parish at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. One thing working in Lincoln Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
