Logansport extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Elliot Baldini. It took a bit of extra time, but the Berries secured a 44-43 victory against the West Lafayette Red Devils in overtime on Friday thanks in part to Baldini: he rushed for 115 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Baldini is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 115 every time he's taken the field this season.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Logansport, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Karsen Jackson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
One reason for the win was Logansport's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from Greyson Cottrell, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Logansport's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for West Lafayette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
