The Ascension Catholic Bulldogs lost against the Plaquemine Green Devils back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Ascension Catholic lost to Plaquemine on the road by a decisive 52-37 margin. Ascension Catholic has not had much luck with Plaquemine recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Plaquemine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Comora Davis led the charge by scoring 12 points along with three steals. Saige Molden was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Ascension Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Plaquemine, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ascension Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Archbishop Chapelle at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Plaquemine, they will square off against White Castle at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (White Castle is ranked 78th, while Plaquemine is ranked 76th).
