The Splendora Wildcats entered their tilt with the Liberty Panthers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Splendora walked away with a 58-46 win over Liberty on Friday. This was payback for Splendora, who suffered a 53-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Splendora got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Kelley out in front who scored 14 points along with three steals. Kelley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Jaydn McNeely was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Splendora is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Liberty, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-17.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hargrave the next time they take the court. Liberty will host Hargrave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Splendora will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
