The Aiken Fighting Green Hornets lost against the River Bluff Gators back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Aiken took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators.
Several Fighting Green Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joey Tracey, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Tracey has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jadan Young, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Aiken's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for River Bluff, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Aiken will head out on the road to face off against the Thoroughbreds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Aiken focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for River Bluff, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. Dutch Fork is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
