The Borrego Springs Rams were the 39-36 winner over the Warner Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Borrego Springs fell 46-33 to Warner on Friday.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christopher Alcaraz, who scored 17 points. That was a full 51.5% of Borrego Springs' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brody White, who scored 11 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Omar Acosta, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Calac, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Borrego Springs has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Warner, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borrego Springs will take on San Pasqual Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Warner, they will be playing at home against Calexico Mission at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
