Glenwood Springs took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Summit 52-50.

Glenwood Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lyndsay Helms, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 16 points along with eight boards and three steals. Helms is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games she's played. Ivee Enewold was another key player, going 8-for-18 to rack up 20 points and five steals.
Meanwhile, Cheyenne Mountain posted their biggest win since January 25th on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 45-25 margin over Sand Creek. The victory continues a trend for the Red-Tailed Hawks in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won three in a row.
Cheyenne Mountain's win came from a few key players Glenwood Springs will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maya Stepan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Judi, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.
Cheyenne Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.
Glenwood Springs now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Glenwood Springs has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Cheyenne Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
