In what's become a running theme this season, the East Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past West 57-21 at home. Winning may never get old, but East sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Kaliyah Barron, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of East's points. Another player making a difference was Jakarol Morrison, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and three steals.
East pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Red Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on February 24th. West's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cougar at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Cristo Rey comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
