Camden County (Kingsland, Ga.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 48-12 win over Beach (Savannah, Ga.).
The Wildcats scored six points in the first quarter. Camden County scored on a touchdown run by
Conner Lockhart and a touchdown.
CC was up 27-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Lockhart in the first quarter.
The Kingsland school expanded its lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. The Wildcats scored two times in the third, including once on a
Harrison Poole touchdown run.
J.j. Green was the top performer for Camden County. The senior halfback ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
A 62-0 Camden County victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
With the win the Wildcats extended their winning streak to four games. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Bulldogs.
In a AAAAAA Region 1 game next week Camden County (4-0) takes on Valdosta, and Beach (0-4) will go up against Pierce County in a AAA Region 1 game.
