Schalmont was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to second in Section 2 B - West. The Sabres defeated Broadalbin-Perth 51-7 earlier in the week.
The Patriots moved up to 196 from 272 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Broadalbin-Perth was able to make the jump by beating Broadalbin-Perth 51-7.
Schuylerville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Horses feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shane Lyon has thrown for 235 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Austin Cook has seven catches for 152 yards. Lyon also leads the league in rushing with 314 yards.
A big matchup in Section 2 B - West this week will be when Jim Pelneau's team takes on Glens Falls. The Patriots are in third place, while the Indians are in first place.
Glens Falls and Johnstown played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Glens Falls eventually emerging with a 2-0 victory.
