The Bear Grass Charter Bears had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Mattamuskeet 50-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Bear Grass Charter, who have now won seven matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Brayden Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 96 yards and three touchdowns. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Pritchett, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Bear Grass Charter's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34 points. As for Mattamuskeet, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Bear Grass Charter will be playing at home against Hobgood Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mattamuskeet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
