Mullen gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Rifle Bears by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mullen easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.

Mullen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Coal Ridge on the 22nd. As for Rifle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Steamboat Springs on the 22nd.
