The Roosevelt Roughriders came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Ingraham 54-39. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Ingraham is ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jalen Dollar was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Jackson Huntington was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Roosevelt is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Ingraham, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Roosevelt will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chief Sealth at 7:30 p.m. Chief Sealth is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Ingraham, they will head out on the road to take on Ballard at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
