The Frederick Golden Eagles will square off against the Centaurus Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Frederick faced off against Broomfield on Thursday. The Golden Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.
Frederick was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Broomfield work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 15-25, 25-16, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Frederick had strong showings from Lily Pagel, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Ava Reed, who had ten kills, four digs, three aces, and two blocks. Reed is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Kyla Vejrostek also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Meanwhile, Centaurus lost 3-0 to Legacy on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
While Centaurus was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Legacy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-16.
Frederick's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Centaurus, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
