Basketball Recap: Talladega Skates Past Lincoln with Ease

Talladega entered their tilt with Lincoln on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lincoln Golden Bears 60-33. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Zae Cunningham was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Justasia Pointer, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Talladega is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Talladega wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-22 loss against Winterboro on the 24th. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to take on St. Clair County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
