Brandon Knight (Coral Springs, Fla./Pine Crest) and Ray McCallum (Beverly Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) will make their decisions later this afternoon. Knight will choose from Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky and Syracuse while McCallum is down to Arizona, Detroit, Florida and UCLA.
Michael Gilchrist (Elizabeth, N.J./St. Patrick), one of the nation’s top juniors, is also getting in on the act and is expected to make a much-anticipated verbal commitment Wednesday. Kentucky and Villanova have long been considered the frontrunners.
Doron Lamb (Queens, N.Y./Mouth of Wilson, Va./Oak Hill Academy) and Josh Selby (Baltimore, Md./Lake Clifton) are expected to make their decisions on Saturday at the Jordan Brand Classic. Selby will choose between Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky and Tennessee while Lamb will pick from Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Terrence Jones (Portland, Ore./Jefferson), Cory Joseph (Pickering, Ontario, Canada/Henderson, Nev./Findlay Prep) and C.J. Leslie (Raleigh, N.C./Word of God) won’t be far behind but are yet to set specific dates.
Jones is down to Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA and Washington. Joseph will pick from Connecticut, Minnesota, Texas, UNLV and Villanova. Leslie has Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky and North Carolina State.
