The Central Rebels fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Potosi Trojans on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 70-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Jobe Bryant, who scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Bryant is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Caden Casey, who scored 14 points.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Potosi, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Arcadia Valley at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 439 points over their last six matchups. As for Potosi, they will be playing at home against South Iron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Potosi is on a six-game streak of home wins, South Iron a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
