Millbrook is 4-0 against the Cardinals since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Millbrook Pioneers will head out on the road to square off against the Spring Mills Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.
Millbrook unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Handley 67-22. While losing is never fun, Millbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Judges are ranked 29th).
Meanwhile, everything went Spring Mills' way against the Eagles on Friday as the Cardinals made off with a 45-25 win.
Millbrook's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Spring Mills, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.
Millbrook strolled past the Cardinals in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a score of 53-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millbrook since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
