Volleyball Recap: Academy of International Studies Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Natalee Pabe and Lisa Weinberg + How To Watch

Academy of International Studies suffered their biggest defeat since October 2, 2024 on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Academy of International Studies was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Academy of Science and Innovation's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-20, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Academy of International Studies had strong showings from Lisa Weinberg, who had five aces and three digs, and Natalee Pabe, who had 17 digs. Weinberg is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Nehae'Vah Armstrong was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight contests. Adanya Paul also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Academy of International Studies' defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
