In what's become a running theme this season, the Phoenix Country Day Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 68-7 victory over Red Rock at home. Winning may never get old, but Phoenix Country Day sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Phoenix Country Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aila Kaibara out in front who scored 15 points along with four steals. Kaibara is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Owens, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Phoenix Country Day's win was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.5 points. As for Red Rock, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phoenix Country Day will take on the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rancho Solano Prep is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Red Rock, they will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Scorpions in Arizona (the Spartans are ranked 134th, while the Scorpions are ranked 280th).
