Basketball Recap: North Myrtle Beach Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

North Myrtle Beach won the last time they faced Conway and things went their way on Tuesday too. The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs were the clear victor by a 71-48 margin over the Conway Tigers. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.

North Myrtle Beach had a senior duo take command as Faith Farmer went 15 of 22 en route to 37 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists and Nevaeh Washington dropped a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farmer has scored all season. Madison Vereen was another key player, putting up four points along with six assists and four steals.

North Myrtle Beach smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Rebecca Hemingway and Saryah Locklear certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Hemingway posted 20 points, while Locklear went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points and four steals. That was a full 41.7% of Conway's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Surhei Brown, who had six points.

North Myrtle Beach pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Conway, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

North Myrtle Beach will venture away from home to take on Socastee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
