On Friday Ogallala take on Gothenburg at 7:00 PM. The odds don't look promising for Ogallala, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
Ogallala suffered a grim 18-41 defeat to Sidney last Friday. Ogallala's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Dylon Zink, who picked up 164 yards on the ground and caught passes for 77 yards. In fact, with 12 tackles Zink was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Gothenburg might be getting used to good results now that the squad have three wins in a row. They took their contest against Valentine by a conclusive 23-0 score. Followers of Gothenburg probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
Gothenburg's win lifted them to 6-1 while Ogallala's loss dropped them down to 4-3. We'll find out if Gothenburg can add another positive mark to their record or if Ogallala can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Gothenburg's step.
