Las Plumas can't be too worried about heading out to take on Oroville: they just beat Gridley at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbirds, who have now won 12 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kendal Headley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
