Basketball Recap: Pineywoods Community Academy Skates Past Martinsville with Ease

Pineywoods Community Academy won the last time they faced Martinsville and things went their way on Monday too. The Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Martinsville Pirates 54-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

Pineywoods Community Academy was led to victory by Jaziel Reyes and Julian Viduarri. Reyes posted 17 points along with eight boards and three steals, while Viduarri went 8 of 15 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Viduarri's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Jones, who had eight points and five steals.

Pineywoods Community Academy pushed their record up to 10-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Martinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Pineywoods Community Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-27 win against Newton on the 3rd. As for Martinsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-48 defeat against Kennard on the 3rd.
